Lanvin for H&M

Alber Elbaz, the artistic director of one of the most famous fashion brand in France, Lanvin, has stepped up to help H&M and its customers taste a pleasant flavor Lanvin in the store of H&M around the world. Lanvin, famous for its intricate trimming, beautiful embroideries, decorations in floral colors, has earned fame around the world and has been continuously considered as one of the top fashion brands of Europe.

H&M, established in Sweden in 1947 by Erling Persson, currently operates 2000 stores in 37 countries and keeps its philosophy of "to bring you fashion and quality at the best price." It has casual and formal clothes for men, women, and children.

What a great collaboration between two great fashion brands. Look forward to the project by Lanvin and H&M which will be brought to you on November 2nd, 2010.

What do you do if the SUN is here? It's time to take your sunglasses on! What's the trend for sunglasses this season? Simple, but colorful. Complicated styles may give a sense of "over-wearing" because you have other fashion items such as hats, shirts, and accessories. However, you need a fancy color to emphasize that you're a fashionista! As dresses, shirts, and skirts show a variety of colors this season, sunglasses need to follow the trend. Purple, red, green, and blue. Say goodbye to black and white for a while. Or at least for this season!

Pop up stores are "THE TREND" these days. I've never seen one until yesterday. Last night, I went to Hong-Dae, a famous Korean university for art. There were lots of people but I could see that there was a crowd in front of something. The banner said "Blue Fit". Blue fit was a famous, expensive company for popular jeans in the US and they also had shirts, too. I loved Blue Fit but it was too always too expensive for me to buy so many. However, it was my DAY. They were doing a POP-up store where a famous clothes brand opens a small store in the street for a day. It's a surprise for its brand maniacs, like me! I bought two pairs of jeans and three shirts. It only cost a price of one pair of jeans! From that moment, I was determined to find more pop-up stores in the future.

Find some POP-up stores, not only in Korea but anywhere, and buy beautiful items for cheap prices!

Colorful socks...Yes it is a bit overwhelming to wear them in the streets. HOWEVER, why not try? Models, singers, Hollywood stars have all tried at least once. You can wear them with any type of shoes EXCEPT flip flops and sandals; flats, sneakers, or ankle boots. Try something new this summer to show your fashionista skills. Neon colors are the best colors for models but if you're a beginner to colorful socks, try black, white, or even red. You'll look like a fashionista in just a few colorful socks!

The Winywill has an internet shopping mall and a separate mall in lots of places in Asia. It has a few in South Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong. They have pumps, basic heels, open toes, sandals, and flats for women. (Sorry men.) Their shoes come out in various colors: red, white, black, gray, green, blue, and more. Actually, lots and lots of Korean stars enjoy wearing Winywill shoes because it's as beautiful as expensive shoes (Chanel, Fendi, Prada, Louis Vuitton and more) but it's cheaper!

All About the Dresses in Cannes

The Cannes Film Festival was held last week with numerous Hollywood stars and Asian stars. What did I notice? The dress code of the stars in the red carpet. Who were the fashionistas?

1. Charlotte Gainsbourg: She was an actress from the film Antichrist. I noticed that her dress was from the Balenciaga 09-10 F/W Collection. Gainsbourg's black & white mini dress was different from the majority which were long dresses. It showed Gainsbourg's great fashion sense with her sandals, too. She also matched her Balenciaga dress with a Balenciaga clutch (the motor bag collection).


2. Kate Blanchet: Kate Blanchet has worn a Alexander McQueen dress from the 09-10 F/W collection which is a typical black dress, but it also has a unique white/silver pattern throughout the dress.


3. Eva Longolia: Personally, I thought Eva Longolia was the best dresser from all the stars in the Cannes Film Festival. Despite her comparatively short height, she tried a long dress which covered her height. It might have made her look shorter, but she was a fashionista who exactly knew her style and even her color. The pure white dress made her face even brighter.


4. Jun Do Yeon: She is a Korean actress and this is her second time invited to the Cannes Film Festival. She had two dresses for the festival and the first one seemed more chic because of its unique color. This Versace dress was not even presented in any public fashion show which shows us that Jun Do Yeon was a special guest even for Versace! The bronze-like color of the dress was amazing.


All of the dressers in the Cannes Film Festival seemed like a fashionista with beautiful dresses!

Glasses Enhancing Fashion

Glasses are not only a tool to help you see. They are items of fashion! There are people who even wear glasses without lenses to become a fashionista. Glasses can become a "point" in your face especially when you have no make-up on! How do you know what glasses to wear, with what clothes? Well, let me help you out.

Circular-shaped faces: I recommend you rectangular-shaped glasses since they hide your circular face which can be a complex for you.


Square chinned-faces: I do not recommend you rectangular-shaped glasses! It will emphasize your rectangular chin! Try wearing circular glasses or half-bold glasses.


Egg-shaped faces: You'll look good in rectangular shaped glasses as well as vivid color glasses.

Abercrombie & Fitch. Does it sound familiar? At least most teenagers will know this clothes brand, especially in the US. It mostly makes teenager casual outfits, but it is not limited to teenagers. I saw adults wearing it too! I love this brand because it's really casual and the outfits come out it various colors: white, blue, orange, pink, gray, red, green, and more! Try some of the Abercrombie & Fitch outfits because it has shoes, pants, shirts, coats, swimming suits for men and women and kids! It even delivers to numerous countries in the world!

Fashion gets completed with a tint of perfume at the end. I'm really a big fan of perfumes because of millions of reasons. It obviously smells nice, the bottles are gorgeous, not that expensive, it adds a sense of beauty for women and freshness for men. I want to introduce to you a particular perfume that I love these days:

HERMÉS "Un Jardin Sur Le Nil"

It's the second edition of the "Jardin Collection" of Hermés' fragrances. It translates to "A garden on the Nile" and it smells like lily flowers. Its scent is really fresh and cool, but also feminine at the same time. It's my first perfume from Hermés, but it became my favorite perfume. It stays on you for a long time and you'll like if you smell it for once! I highly recommend it for teenagers who stink after doing a sport activity, but also for adult women who wants an awesome smell when you go to work or when you meet your boyfriend!

How About Marks & Spencer?

Marks and Spencer...Have you ever heard of this fashion brand before? I think most of you has heard it at least once. It's has over 300 stores all around the world including Hong Kong, India, Korea, Japan, Singapore, California, New York, Chicago, Poland, Malaysia, and more! It always has a bright green sign of "Marks and Spencer" which indicates that you're there! Don't limit your thoughts only to clothes! There are home furniture, flowers and even party food! It's just like a mall which has everything! Just go almost anywhere in the world and find a store, and you will be amazed. There are clothes from small to huge sizes in every trend. Of course men fashion items are not excluded! There are gorgeous suits and casual clothes for men who don't know where to shop!

Comeback of Jeans!

Jeans were not only referring to "pants" (as we know now) in the 80s. It was a type of cloth for suits, shirts, jackets and bags. This trend of jeans came back in the spring/summer of 2010. Linen, cotton, silk; these are fashionable fabric for fashionistas, but why not try a new style? I mean, a style which existed before but came back. JEANS! Some people might wonder how to match jeans shirts or jeans jackets with other items. There's a million, trillion ways to do that!

1. Jeans jacket: Try tying up the jeans jacket while you're in the beach! It looks cool and chic. You might want to match hot-pants (very short pants) in the bottom to emphasize the cool look.


2. Jeans vest: Too cowboyish? No! Lots of Hollywood stars wear jean vests with a simple white tshirt to look casual.


3. Jeans jumpsuits: Jumpsuits are not only for tall people if you have jeans jumpsuits! They make your legs look longer and they are extremely comfortable. Match a pair of gladiator shoes with your jeans jumpsuits and you'll immediately become the Next Top Model for any country!

Trend: 2010 Summer "MAJE"

As a fashionista, CEO of "Maje", and a Parisian, Judith Milgrim presented her new 2010 Summer collection for women. "Maje"'s style is a typical Parisian fashion style which emphasizes on femininity. For the last ten years, "Maje" has shown a lot of feminine collections throughout the years and the 2010 Summer collection is not an exception. The colors are prominently focused on red, blue, white, gray and black.

What is the trend for men hair in 2010??
